Todd Reed's Day 90 of 365
I drove to the land our family owns in hopes of finding some flowers in bloom that were planted years ago by the Betka family. Sure enough, I found them along Conrad Road and moved in for a closer look with a macro lens.

Sand Angels
Ludington lovers - residents and visitors alike - join together to break the Guiness World Record for the number of people making sand angels at once. Spectrum Health Foundation teamed up with West Shore Bank to enable 1,387 people to simultaneously make the sand angels on the Ludington beach on June 10, 2017.
Boiling Water
The Hurricane River Outlet looks like a boiling caldron tonight as melted snow dramatically increases the flow of water downstream to Lake Superior. This spot between Munising and Grand Marais is one of my favorite places in Michigan's fabulous Upper Peninsula.

Brad Reed's Day 90 of 365
This morning before I went into House of Flavors for some breakfast I took this photo of the famous ice cream parlor. I love how the left and right sides of this photo are almost perfect clones of each other.

August Light
I have set sail in my 13-foot Boston Whaler skiff tonight to try to make some sunset images from on the water. I don't have to walk on water to position the boat right where I want to be able to make this image. I love my little boat!
Sweet View
A family looks in a Rochester store window display to appreciate how beautifully Home Bakery has recreated a scene from the movie Frozen. Home Bakery certainly looks "sweet" from my vantage point.
Sunset at Hurricane River
The power and force of the rushing water tonight at the mouth of the Hurricane River really caught me by surprise. I had been to this same spot six months earlier and the water was flowing slowly enough that I could stand in the river with my camera and tripod. If I tried to replicate that photograph today, I'm sure I would instantly be knocked down and washed violently into Lake Superior.

Todd Reed's Day 91 of 365
As fast as her little legs would carry her, our granddaughter Julia was a blur as she flew across Waterfront Park with her new dragon. The toy dragon came with a meal that Julia's Grandma Debbie got her for a picnic outing.

Love Ludington
The Love Ludington committee worked together with the city police and fire departments to coordinate this amazing event in downtown Ludington. I shot this photograph from 100 feet in the air in the bucket of the ladder truck. The view from that height was incredible. Over 200 passionate Ludington residents and visitors stood inside of the heart shaped outline. If you look closely, you will see my daughter Julia holding the reigns of a horse!
Dazzling
Haig's Fine Jewelry in Rochester is dazzling customers this evening with more than its jewelry. Thousands of holiday lights shine like jewels on the outside of the store while Santa appears to be taking off from the rooftop. I am impressed with Haig's and all the downtown businesses of Rochester that have banded together to present one of Michigan's most impressive holiday light displays.
Heaven on Hamlin
A golden sunrise over Hamlin Lake is hard to beat. I really like all the layers in this photograph. The soft rays of light in the clouds combined with the beautiful ripples on the water made for a picture perfect moment this morning as I stood with my camera and tripod near the warming shelter on the north end of the Island Trail at the Ludington State Park.
